Cattle Dog Coffee Roasters

Odds are, if you were to walk into the Katie Spires Team office you would most likely spot a Cattle Dog Coffee Roasters cup on someone’s desk. It is a place that we frequently visit, whether it is for meetings or a quick pick-me-up.

This cozy coffee joint is located in Downtown Inverness with other locations throughout Citrus County. James and Heather Cook are the current owners who, “strive to serve the best fresh roasted coffee, a progressive and eclectic menu, and high end loose leaf teas”, according to their website. To read more about how Cattle Dog began and came to be a staple in our community, visit their about page on their website.

If you decide to visit, you will be greeted with the delicious smell of roasting coffee and a coffee shop environment with calm music and plenty of tables to settle into.

As you approach the counter you will see a large list of made-to-order drinks; they offer lattes, teas, espresso flights, cold brews, and even featured drinks. Some of our favorites are: Iced Caramel Macchiato, Iced Zebra Mocha, and the Iced Passion Tea. They also have a menu that changes seasonally with unique spins on flatbreads, salads, wraps, and sandwiches. If you would like to see what they are offering now, check out their online menu.

Within the restaurant located in Inverness, there are multiple areas for seating. Whether you are visiting to enjoy a cup of coffee and a book, meeting with customers or colleagues, or there to get some work done in a different atmosphere, you will find what you need!

While you are sipping on your coffee, you may notice a recurring theme in addition to coffee…little yellow creatures with overalls. These are minions from the movie Despicable Me and have been hidden throughout Cattle Dog Coffee Roasters. This can turn into a fun scavenger hunt as you enjoy your meal and you try to find all of the minions in the restaurant.

If you are someone who enjoys fresh-roasted coffee or loose leaf tea but you don’t want to go to the restaurant every day, there is a large supply of their coffee blends in both the bag form and also K-Cups for your single-cup coffee makers in addition to bags of loose leaf tea that you can purchase. We like to get the K-Cup box and fill it with various blends of coffee, just to try different types.

So, if you are in the Citrus County area and are looking for some yummy food or your drink of choice, we would recommend Cattle Dog Coffee Roasters…you might even bump into a member of the Katie Spires Team while you are there and if you do, be sure to say hi!
