As we enter a new year, it feels as though some sort of change is necessary. Whether that comes in the form of a lifestyle change, breaking habits, or fulfilling dreams you can feel the excitement and determination during this season. For some, this change may come as deciding to move to a new home or even a new area. We are here to share some of the items that are trending on buyers wishlists going into 2022.

Space for At-Home Hobbies & Work
With more jobs allowing employees to work from home and a boom in entrepreneurship in the recent years, buyers are looking for designated spaces instead of using their kitchen tables as a desk. As well as working from home, many are taking up hobbies at home to occupy time such as yoga, crafting, reading spaces.
Outdoor Living Spaces
Sometimes the cozy walls of our home can feel confining. With more people spending time at home, there is a trend in outdoor living spaces. While this isn’t new to those in Florida, buyers moving from out-of-state love the idea Florida Rooms, enclosed lanais, even converted sheds!
Smaller Square Footage
This may seem contradictory to the statements made above; however, a large portion of buyers are willing to sacrifice square footage for more land or additional amenities. Younger buyers are looking for more affordable options when it comes to owning a home leading to this focus on sustainable, minimal living.
