Men’s Hair on the Square
Good men’s barbershops are hard to come by for a good price and I am not talking about anything over $15. Men’s Hair on the Square is located downtown Inverness, FL after the location was home to another barbershop called Jagged Edge for 19 years. The former owner wanted to downsize and close, but Jennifer Bravo wanted to take over and reopen the barbershop to become Men’s Hair on the Square.
Jennifer Bravo graduated school in 1992 for cutting hair and started in a hair salon where she worked mostly on female’s hair, but when she met Jill around 15 years ago, she decided to try men’s hair to see if she would like it. As you can tell, she most definitely did because she has been doing it ever since. Bravo was a teacher at one point for Redken and she thought it was an ‘awesome’ place to teach at. But did you know that’s where she met the other stylist, Beth Corbin? Corbin was Bravo’s former student at Redken and now she works for Bravo. Jennifer Bravo says “‘great job at what she does.”
Bravo makes the barbershop a fun, relaxing, and enjoyable atmosphere because sometimes they aren’t any of those things depending on where you go. She tries to make it standout from other salons and barbershops by making beverages available for anyone that wants one and being able to book appointments by half an hour.
What services does Men’s Hair on the Square have to offer? At Men’s Hair on the Square, you can get a normal cut for $12, then you can also get a beard trim for $3. They will even shampoo your beard If you wanted your beard to be fresh and clean. This barbershop does not use straight razors, do perms, or back shaves, unless it becomes “back shaves being price per pound”Bravo joked around.
